Surprise winners were spread out across all categories as the recipients were announced at the Sundance Film Festival award ceremony Saturday night. Both the jury and the audience chose unexpected selections that they felt represented the Best of the Fest. Like Crazy, a conflicted long-distance relationship drama and Happy, Happy, a Norwegian film about a couple being inspired by their new neighbors, won for the narrative jury prizes. The documentary jury prizes went to How to Die in Oregon, a documentary about physician-assisted suicide, and Kinyarwanda, an account of the 1994 Rwanda genocide.
